​MALE, Maldives — The Maldives Police Service has issued a public appeal to locate two men wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation conducted by the Terrorism and Violent Extremism Investigations division.

​The suspects have been identified as Shihan Ahmed, 27, from Newzil house in Gaafu Alifu Kanduhulhudhoo, and Ibrahim Azhad, 36, from Hiyaleege in Shaviyani Komandoo.

​According to police authorities, public notices were published after officers were unable to serve formal summons directly to the individuals due to unknown residential locations. The public disclosure was made in accordance with Article 27 of the regulation governing police procedures during criminal investigations.

​Authorities have directed Shihan Ahmed to present himself for questioning at the Sergeant Adam Haleem Criminal Investigation Building on August 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Ibrahim Azhad has been instructed to report to the same location on August 15, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
